BAPTISM MINISTRY IS IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS
The Holy Family Parish Baptism Ministry is looking for new volunteers to assist in a variety of areas. We are seeking volunteers at each parish to serve as Baptism Hosts. A Baptism Host attends a baptism and assists in greeting the family attending, as well as assists the priest or deacon in gathering materials. Baptisms typically always follow the latest Sunday morning Mass at each parish and only last about thirty minutes. With enough volunteers, you would only have to serve every other month and only if there is a scheduled baptism.
Being a Baptism Host can be just one person or as a family. If you would like to volunteer and you are crafty, the Blanket Ministry is seeking volunteers to help create beautiful blankets that are given out at each baptism in each parish within our grouping. The blankets can be knit or crocheted and patterns can be provided, or you are welcome to create your own. The group does occasionally meet for crafting and for fellowship with one another; however, you are also welcome to just make them at home and drop off. The Blanket Ministry is always willing to take donations of white yarn to make these beautiful keepsakes.
If you have any questions or if you would be interested in volunteering as a Baptism Host or if you would like to volunteer with our Blanket Ministry, please contact us @ [email protected].
